Dr. Jennifer Khem is a therapeutic and glaucoma certified optometrist (TLG). She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry where she graduated with the highest distinction of Clinical Honors. This award afforded her the opportunity to partake in additional clinical training with an internship at the prestigious, Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) in Washington D.C. Further training included clinical internships in primary care and advanced contact lens, hospital and ophthalmology settings, co-management in refractive, cataract, oculoplastic and retinal surgeries in San Francisco, Portland, New Jersey, and New York.
Furthermore, Dr. Khem pursued additional clinical training by completing a residency in Ocular Disease & Pathology and Primary Care at the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System (U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs) in New York. Dr. Khem was formerly an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Instructor at the State University of New York College of Optometry. She is also a member of the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Khem completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology graduating with highest honors. She is a native Texan but has since made Los Angeles her home and enjoys spending time with family at the beach.
